In December 2020 Australian housing values hit record new highs in several capital cities as the Australian national property market continues to turn a corner.
House prices are showing signs of healthy recovery across all Australian capital cities as the national property market moves further away from the lows triggered by COVID-19 and subsequent lockdowns.
House prices were up 1.1% for the month of December, with Melbourne making a strong recovery after it’s lockdowns of 1.4% for the month. Sydney has also rebounded, showing a monthly gain of 1.5%.
